Hi there,
I wanted to let you all know that as of today, STAT’s systems and servers are now operating on UTC time (AKA: Coordinated Universal Time).
Before today, STAT’s systems were synced to Pacific Time, but we’ve now switched them to use UTC time which provides a more easily understood standard timezone for all of our customers worldwide.
The timezone is important to our system, since all of our data collection and automated report generation turns over at midnight. For example, if you’re on the west coast of North America, you’re used to your daily/weekly/monthly reports arriving in your inbox at midnight Pacific Time, but from now on, they’ll arrive at 5PM Pacific Time, which is midnight UTC. Conversely, if you’re located in the UK, you’re used to seeing your reports arrive at 7AM local time, but they’ll now arrive at midnight. And if you’re in Sydney Australia, you’re used to seeing your reports arrive at 5PM local time, but they’ll now arrive at 10AM local time.
It’s important to note that nothing is changing as far as our data collection is concerned. We’re still collecting your data every 24 hours, and you’ll still see STAT update with your fresh data every day.
This change is reflective of STAT’s emergence as a global SEO data partner of choice, with a world-wide clientele including some of the biggest brands on the Internet. We hope that this change makes our services equally accessible to all of our clients no matter where they operate.
As usual, we welcome your questions and feedback! Write us at support@getSTAT.com
Best,
Rob and the STAT team.
