[RESOLVED] Artificial dip in rankings on July 21

UPDATED JULY 27

This issue is now fully resolved. Thank you for your patience!

You may have noticed a dip in ranking keywords in STAT on July 21. Google made some changes to the SERP landscape overnight. They appear to have updated some of the CSS classes within the HTML which threw our parsing logic off in some instances. This caused an artificial dip in rankings.

It is important to note that this was not a crawl issue, so we actually have all the SERPs for July 21 stored. Today, the STAT team will be updating the SERP parsing logic and resurfacing the correct data in STAT.

It appears this update was only rolled out to a small percentage of queries, therefore most SERPs and ranking data has been returned to normal.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
The STAT Team
