[RESOLVED] Search volume and share of voice for new keywords temporarily affected

We’re pleased to announce that our new system for collecting search volume is in place. Any keywords missing search volume will have that data by 5 pm PST today, and share of voice will be calculated as usual.

If you’re experiencing any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out. Shoot us an email at Support@getstat.com and we’ll get back to you right-quick.

Thank you for your patience!

To work around the pesky search volume range that Google introduced in their AdWords Keyword Planner, we’ve joined forces with a specialist partner whose core area of expertise is delivering accurate Google search volume.

We’re currently in the process of deploying our new solution, and you should start seeing search volume populate this weekend for any keywords that were missing data.

We’ll update this post once the deployment is finished and everything is running tickety-boo. In the meantime, if you have questions, please email support@getSTAT.com.

Because of a recent change Google has made to the AdWords Keyword Planner, the search volume for new keywords added into STAT on or after Friday September 9th is going to experience a temporary delay until we get our fix in place. Your share of voice metrics will not account for keywords added during this time.

What happened?

As most in the SEO industry are aware, Google has been messing around with the search volume in the AdWords Keyword Planner.

In addition to the close variant grouping, it is now returning ranges for average monthly search volume.

From what we’ve seen and read, this change has now rolled out for every single AdWords account, resulting in an industry-wide loss of accurate search volume data.

But fear not, while STAT has used the Keyword Planner to deliver your search volume, we already have a solution in the works for this complex issue — it’s our number one priority and all dev hands are already on deck.

We’re aiming to have it sorted and implemented within two weeks, at which point we’ll be back to serving up search volume and share of voice metrics for every single one of your keywords.

As we continue to work on the solution to bring you the most accurate search volume possible, we’ll keep you posted here.
