Answer Box ROI strategy

Follow the steps below to learn more about the valuable insights you can get from the SERP Feature tab and explore filters and tracking on this tab’s dashboard.

“My team needs to argue the ROI of our answer box (featured snippet) strategy over time. How can I see:

  • Where my opportunity is for keywords that trigger an answer box.
  • How many answers boxes I’ve owned over time.

1. Log in to STAT and open the project you want to work on from the Projects pane.

2. Go to the SERP Features tab and look at the Appearance and Ownership section. Select Answers from the legend.

3. Select Count:Owned from the SERP Features graph and Count:Total from the SERP Features Over Time graph to identify opportunity verses current ownership.

4. Take a look at the SERP Features Over Time graph to assess opportunity.

5. Click through from the Owned Answers bar chart to see the filtered list of keywords in the Keywords tab.

6. Create a dynamic tag for ‘Owner Answer Boxes’. Click on the Tag All Filtered Keywords button to do this.

7. After creating that dynamic tag you’ll be able to see which tracked keywords generate an owned answer box on the SERPs daily.
