A custom rank change column, two new SERP features, two feature improvements, and a peek at the new year

We’re wrapping up 2023 with a handful of releases as we gear up for all the good STAT to come in the new year.

New feature

Quickly see your change in rank between two custom dates

Thanks to the new Custom Ranking Change column in the keywords table, you can now see the change in rank between any two dates of your choosing for all your keywords. Simply click Rank Change Dates from the header dropdown and select the days you’d like to compare.

We also added colour to these numbers so it’s easier to understand whether the change was good (green), bad (red), or things stayed the same (black).

Once you enable this column from the Show/Hide dropdown, it should sit snug as a bug between the Ranking Change and URL columns — if it appears elsewhere in the table, you may need to clear your cache and cookies.

Feature improvements

Ranking Change column also gets a pop of contextual colour

In light of the colourful additions to the new Custom Ranking Change column, we decided to carry the same red and green over to this column as well. We also widened the header so that you can read more than just “Cha…”. All for easier scanning.

Negative values added to the Rank Comparison export

With a new dropdown in the Rank Comparison modal, you can now choose whether positive or negative numbers in the downloadable export will signal an improvement in rank.

Tracking updates

Two new SERP features you can keep tabs on

Stores and explore brands are now up for grabs, taking us to a cool 60 SERP features being tracked in STAT.

  • Stores — this mobile-only organic result returns pages from retailers and displays their rating, price, and delivery information. As each listing takes you directly to the retailer site, their ranking URLs will be site attributed in STAT.

  • Explore brands — this organic result displays a list of popular brands that offer similar products and often displays an image next to each listing. Clicking on a listing takes you directly to the product page, so this result will also be site attributed in STAT.
