A new report, instant backfills, and one mighty arrow

We’ve got two new features and one much needed usability enhancement to help make your time in STAT that much better.

New report: Spot trends in ranking performance

Curious what your top-ranking keyword is from month to month? How about which keywords are gaining or losing ground each week? Want to see all of this without having to manually mash up your data or request a custom report?

Adding to our growing list of spreadsheet report options is the all-new Keyword report: Ranking trends over time, which lets you chart keyword performance.

4 months

Peep how the average rankings of your keywords change from one week or month to the next — even compare one day’s rank to another — at the site, data view, or tag level.

You can get your hands on this report whenever your heart desires. Just click on Reporting under Site Tools, click the Create Report button at the top, and then choose the report type from the drop-down menu.

Instant backfills = instant insight for new tags

The best way to surface insight from your data is to segment the bejesus out of it.

And now when you’re filtering keywords and stumble across a new tag combination that just feels right, the time between hunch and insight just became instantaneous with our new automatic two-week backfill for standard and dynamic tags.

Simply filter your keywords at the site level (learn how here), tag them as either Standard or Dynamic, and bingo-bango — two weeks of historical data is ready and waiting for you in your newly minted tag.

A bigger, better view

Meet the teeny-tiny resize arrow that’s on a mission to give you a better view of your keyword data and reduce your scroll-time.

Located in the All Keywords tab, this little arrow means that you can now expand and resize the tables, graphs, and HTML SERPs. Simply click the wee arrow in the middle of the page and drag up or down to move the frame.

See what we call the “Arrow of Excellence” in action:

That’s all for now, folks — go get freaky with your data.

Cheers,
The STAT team
