A flurry of updates

Just in time for the Holidays, we’ve released a flurry of improvements and features for you all!

Keywords Table – Now faster than ever before:
If you have any sites with 30,000+ keywords in them, you might have found that they sometimes took a bit too long to load. Well, that’s a problem of the past. We’ve recently completed some changes to our database table structure that have yielded greater than 500% increases in the load time for the keywords table. So, you should now be able to filter, sort, and interact with your keyword data faster than ever before.

Import Spreadsheets:
When importing a spreadsheet, it is now possible for you to download a template that is based on your actual account or site data. So, if you’re just making additions to your site, or changing tags on existing keywords, you can now select to download a template with is pre-populated with your data. Don’t worry about duplicating keywords, as STAT is smart enough to recognize duplicates and not add them. But, if you change the tags on an existing keyword, STAT will make those changes for you!

To access this feature, when you go to Import a spreadsheet, click on the blue link that says “Click here to download the import template.” From there, you’ll have an option to download a template based on your actual data.

Speed improvements to the Bulk Ranker:
If you’re one of our clients who uses the Bulk Ranker to obtain benchmark rankings for millions of keywords per month, you’ll be glad to know that we’ve made some major speed improvements to this system. We’ve decreased the time to run a batch of 500,000 keywords from 1 week to under 24 hours!

A brand new SERP parsing engine:
This isn’t something that users will experience in the interface, but we’ve made some major improvements to the way we parse and understand SERPs. This makes it easier for us to stay abreast of changes made to SERPs and to implement new metrics and to take advantage of new data mining opportunities in the new year (stuff like authorship and result meta-data, the carousel, related searches, etc).

That’s all for now. As usual, we love to hear your feedback on how we’re doing. If you have any opinions you want to share with us, you can tweet us @getSTAT or shoot us an email at support@getSTAT.com.

We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season, and we wish you all the best for 2014!

Rob, and the STAT Team.
