We have been working hard on adjusting how we rank Featured Snippets. As mentioned earlier, this change will now rank Featured Snippets by assigning them a base rank of 1 instead of no base rank.
You will see this change reflected in STAT by Thursday, EOD. We will post another update once this change is deployed. If you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out to support@getstat.com!

UPDATE: February 7th, 2020
Since Featured Snippets have been de-duplicated by Google’s recent Featured Snippet change, base rank for this SERP feature is now under-representing ownership of the SERP.
In response to this, we’ll be adjusting how we rank Featured Snippets by assigning them a base rank of 1 instead of no base rank. While we recognize this makes the base rank concept a bit more complex, doing so results in more accurate rankings and helps us better align with our other Moz products and metrics.
Our plan is to implement this change in the next 2-3 weeks. We’ll post another update once this has been successfully released into STAT. In the meantime, if you have any questions about this please feel free to reach out to support@getstat.com!
Cheers,
Your Moz Team
