A new snippet type, keyword report, and API bug fix

After a brief respite, release notes are back and ready for action. This week, we’re bringing you another type of snippet to track, reminding you of our awesome new dynamic tag report, and assuaging some API limit fears.

Tracking update

Get your mitts on video snippets

Our featured snippet category has grown by one — we’re now tracking and tallying snippets that contain videos. These are classified as answers (videos) in STAT and “suggested clips” on the SERP. You can filter for the queries they appear on from the Keywords tab and check their count and share of voice from the SERP Features tab.

New feature

Know which keywords come, go, or stay in your dynamic tags

Use our new Dynamic Tag In/Out report to discover what’s driving the changes you see in your metrics and gain insight into just how volatile (or stable) your dynamic tags truly are. Learn more about the report here.

Bug fix

No more erroneous 429 API errors

We recently became aware of a peculiar bug that caused one person’s API activities to impact another person’s API activities. If you encountered a 429 error (too many requests) through no fault of your own, we’ve made sure this won’t happen again.

Happy tracking!

Cheers,
The Moz team
