[NOTICE] Heartbleed Bug will not affect your STAT accounts

You’ve probably already heard the news about the recently-discovered, internet-wide Heartbleed Bug. We want to assure you that STAT has already taken every step to confirm that none of our client’s information was compromised and that there are no vulnerabilities in our system.

The Heartbleed Bug is a serious vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL cryptographic software library. This weakness affects the SSL/TLS encryption used to provide communication security and privacy over the internet.

We’ve completed a full assessment of our systems, including all third-party services (like Amazon AWS) that our systems are built on. This has confirmed that all services that rely on OpenSSL have already been patched to fix the vulnerability.

In short, all of your STAT account information is safe, and we don’t believe that there is any reason to reset your passwords or API keys. However, if you remain concerned about security, there is absolutely no harm in doing so.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email your technical account manager if you have any questions.

Thank you,
