Interface Update: Managing and Interacting with Tags

Today we’ve released the second phase in our overhaul of STAT’s tagging system.

Here is a synopsis of our changes:

  • Manage Tags has been removed from the Site Navigation Pane. We have replaced it with the Tags button on your Site Navigation Pane.
  • When you click on the Tags button, you will see a table with a list of all your tags within your site. When you click on a tag in that table, you will see a table containing all the keywords within that tag. You can also click on the Average Ranking tab to view the Average Ranking for all of the keywords within that Tag.
  • You can now right-click on the keywords table to Tag or Untag your selected keywords

We have updated our help documentation to reflect these changes. Please refer to the documentation at https://helpstat.majortom.dev or write us an email at support@getstat.com if you encounter any issues.

As mentioned, this is the second of three phases in overhauling our Tagging system. In the next phase we will be releasing the ability to bucket tags into custom ‘Views’ that will allow you to group your keywords into logical sets based on your own strategies and initiatives. The goal behind this is to allow our users more fine-grained control over how metrics are generated for their keyword sets.

As usual, we welcome any feedback you may have!

Thanks,

Rob and the STAT team.
