In the past week, we released a bunch of small improvements that are designed to make your work life with STAT a bit more lovely. Let’s take a look!
- Create reports more easily.
We added autocomplete fields for tags and data views, so you it’s quicker for you to find exactly what you’re looking for. - Keep in the loop on the home tab.
We made some little adjustments to the home tab to make room for the most recent posts from the STAT blog. We’re hoping that creates more opportunities for our clients to find us at events as well as benefit from the original research that we publish. - Edit dynamic tags.
You can now change the refresh frequency of dynamic tags without having to create a new one. Just right-click on one to get started. (For more, see Adding and editing dynamic tags.) - Clearer billing breakdowns.
Each optional bulk API service is now broken out as a line item in the billing table, so you can see at a glance exactly what costs what. (For more, see Viewing your billing summaries.) - New column defaults.
We looked at how most people are using the keywords table, and made a few subtle changes to the default view. All Bing-related columns are now hidden by default, and the Google Ranking URL column is now shown by default. (You can always change which columns are shown by clicking the Show/Hide button above the table.) - Blank base rank for Google universal results.
This one is kind of obscure, but some of you will definitely smile when you realize how it makes your job simpler. Previously, STAT assigned a Google base rank to universal results that equalled the base rank of the next organic result. Yes, that did reflect the result’s placement on the page, but it was confusing when you consider that Google base rank by definition excludes universal results. And so, based on client feedback, we’ve assigned a blank (null) as the base rank for all universal results instead. This should make it much simpler for you to ignore universal results in your analysis whenever you need to.
Don’t be shy if you have any questions about these changes. Your client success coach is always happy to help.
All the best,
Clayton & the STAT team
