A parsing tweak for “More about” carousels and new Keyword Suggestions capabilities

We’ve shortened carousel results once more and are working hard to get you instant, unlimited access to half a billion quality-vetted keyword suggestions!

Five ranking URLs now returned for “More about” carousel results

Often nestled under the heading “More about” and (so far) only appearing on desktop SERPs, these carousels can house up to 30 organic results. Since this can skew ranking data in STAT like shopping carousels once did, we’ve taken the same tack and are now only returning the first five ranking URLs. While not the most common SERP feature, if you do happen to appear in a lot of them, you may see an initial dip in your August 10 metrics as a result of this change.

Relevancy score and clustering capabilities added to upcoming Keyword Suggestions

As you may remember from our last release notes, we’re bringing the Keyword Suggestions section of Moz’s Keyword Explorer over to STAT, and much of the hard work is now complete!

For example, we’ve just added in the all-important relevancy metric, which will help you identify high-value keyword opportunities, and put the finishing touches on filters that will allow you to quickly surface targeted keyword clusters.

Only a few more nuts and bolts left to go before this baby makes its grand debut in September.

Happy tracking!

Cheers,
The STAT team

We whipped up a useful guide on one of our favourite ways to keyword list-build, and all you need are three SERP features: the “People also ask” box, related searches, and the “People also search for” box.
