Google SERPs are an ever-changing, ever-evolving beast. And for large SEO teams, finding novel ways to mine the SERPs for competitive advantages is the name of the game.
That’s why we’re now officially opening the floodgates with the launch of our Google HTML SERP API.
Our development team has been hard at work creating an optional, specialty API that allows our clients to easily export a full daily archive of raw, top-100 HTML SERPs for all of their tracked keywords. That’s every single Google SERP. Every day. In full, glorious HTML form. It’s a STAT first—and as far as we’re aware, a first in the industry.
This paid, bulk API is completely optional and separate from our standard, unlimited API, which continues as always to deliver a firehose of parsed SERP data and ranking analytics for all of our clients.
Seriously deep data mining
With some technical know-how, the HTML SERP API gives you the power to create your own unique analytics and reporting based on how Google SERPs are actually rendered in a desktop or mobile browser.
STAT power users can now create custom reports to reveal unique and in-depth SEO insights. For example:
- Want to measure the pixel height of organic results above the fold? You can do that.
- How about tracking exactly how many star-reviews your results have? You can do that.
- How about analyzing which thumbnails your competitors are using when bidding on Google Product Listing Ads? Yeah, you can do that.
- And deep mining of knowledge graph results, including related searches and reviews? Guess what—you can do that, too.
Basically, the world is your oyster. When you own the raw HTML SERP, you can do any kind of analysis imaginable. Sounds fun, right?
We’ve always offered straightforward, quick, and very powerful SERP data and ranking metrics via our web app and unlimited API. This new specialty API service gives some of our largest clients even more freedom to extract deep competitive insights directly from the SERP.
Ready to get started?Under Site Tools > Settings, select “Bulk HTML SERP API (Google only).” Then hit Save to activate the service. STAT will need about 24-hours to compile your first archive for download via the API.
Full instructions on how to activate and use this new API—as well as our other optional API services—can be found in the STAT Knowledge Base.
As with any new feature release, we always welcome your thoughts and comments. If you’d like to learn more about this or any of our optional APIs, just email support@getSTAT.com and we’d be happy to answer any questions.
Cheers,
The STAT Team
